Accounts Payable Specialist
to join their Accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of the AP process in a collaborative and supportive environment. Position
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor communication, payment execution, and compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle high-volume processing while meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities
Review, code, and process invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Manage vendor setup and maintain accurate vendor records. Prepare weekly payment runs via ACH, wire, and check disbursements. Ensure compliance with internal approval workflows and company policies. Collaborate with Procurement, Accounting, and Department Managers to address AP issues. Assist with the month-end close by preparing AP accruals and reconciliations. Support audits by providing the requested documentation.
Required Experience/Skills
2+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience. Strong understanding of invoice processing and vendor management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AP software systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills
Experience with automated AP platforms such as Bill.com, Concur, or NetSuite. Exposure to multi-entity or multi-department organizations. Familiarity with 1099 reporting requirements.
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience).
