Accounts Payable Manager

with deep NetSuite expertise to lead our AP function, ensure best-in-class processes, and support the continued growth of our finance organization. Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function across multiple entities, managing vendor relationships, payment processing, and compliance. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record of leading AP teams in sophisticated finance environments. The ideal candidate combines hands-on NetSuite expertise with strategic leadership skills, ensuring operational excellence, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the accounts payable function, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, disbursements, and expense reimbursements across multiple entities. Supervise, mentor, and develop an AP team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Oversee vendor relationship management, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries, disputes, and payment issues. Direct and review high-volume invoice processing, including two- and three-way P.O. matching and adherence to internal policies. Manage weekly and monthly payment runs (ACH, wire, checks), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with approval workflows. Partner with the Controller, CFO, and other senior leaders to support month-end and year-end close, including AP accruals, reconciliations, and reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX/internal controls, and tax regulations, including 1099 and 1042 reporting. Serve as the firm’s NetSuite subject-matter expert for AP, optimizing workflows, driving automation, and implementing best practices. Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and legal to align on vendor contracts, expense policies, and firm-wide initiatives. Continuously evaluate processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, scalability, and risk mitigation. Prepare and present AP metrics, KPIs, and cash flow insights to senior leadership. Act as key liaison during external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and support. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of progressive accounts payable and finance experience, including leadership in financial services, private equity, asset management, or investment banking. Expertise in NetSuite (required), with proven success in optimizing AP processes within the system; additional experience with tools such as Concur, Bill.com, or Ramp a plus. Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance requirements for finance firms. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing AP teams. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of engaging effectively with executives, colleagues, vendors, and auditors. Strategic thinker with a process improvement mindset and hands-on execution skills. What We Offer
