Responsibilities
Perform first-principles physics-based analysis to quantify the likelihood and severity of Missile Defense System (MDS) capability gaps and forecast performance of potential mitigations Develop analysis tools in Matlab Execute batches of Matlab-based M&S runs in a high performance computing (HPC) environment and analyze the results Assess potential benefits and regrets of proposed solutions to capability gaps Present findings clearly in briefings and white papers. Required
PhD in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, or mathematics Strong critical thinking skills or related degree Prior experience with the Missile Defense System (MDS), with a solid understanding of one or more of the following: missile defense radars, OPIR, battle managers, interceptors Matlab proficiency 15+ years of related work experience Active Secret clearance Desired
Ability to reason from first principles Strong communication skills Prior experience with the Missile Defense System (MDS), with an in-depth understanding of one or more of the following: missile defense radars, OPIR, battle managers, interceptors Please Note: US Citizenship is required Qualified candidates should apply online at www.4mresearch.com.
