Job duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Business Development: Identify sales opportunities, deepen existing relationships, and grow Salem Five’s market share. Collaborate with branch management and internal partners to uncover needs and refer cross-sell opportunities (business loans, merchant services, insurance, investment services). Engage in defined sales activities, uncover customer needs, propose solutions, close business, onboard customers, perform follow-up, outbound calls, and record each contact in the Bank’s system. Participate in team meetings, contribute to branch sales goals, engage in divisional campaigns, and celebrate team successes. Customer Experience
Deliver an exceptional customer experience by making personal connections, uncovering financial needs, recommending products, and providing financial solutions that meet customer needs. Business Acumen and Technical Knowledge
Understand banking business, including income and expense streams and product/service portfolios. Learn functionalities and benefits of Bank products and services quickly. Build relationships with customers and colleagues; demonstrate proficiency with Salem Five’s digital technology offerings. Proficient with mobile devices, texting, email, and app management; proficient with MS Office and internet research; eager to embrace new technologies. Banking Operations
Learn and adhere to branch operation policies and procedures (check cashing, deposits, settlement, account openings, debit cards, branch opening/closing, audits, compliance, vault/ATM management). Develop full working knowledge of traditional sales and teller functions and routinely perform both. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years’ experience in a retail or banking environment; supervisory experience preferred. This position may be designated as a key-holder and, in that capacity, serves as a member of the branch’s management team. Need to be federally registered through the National Mortgage Licensing System and maintain good standing. Individual NMLS IDs renew annually. Physical Demands
