Overview
KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is partnering with a dynamic manufacturer in Southern Maine to hire a Controller to join the finance team. As Controller, you will oversee accounting and finance functions and provide leadership for the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have accounting and/or finance leadership experience in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on month-end financial reporting and strong internal controls. Responsibilities
Take charge of managing the annual budget, forecasting, and cash flow to ensure financial stability and growth. Prepare accurate financial statements, presenting a clear and comprehensive overview of the company\'s financial performance. Implement effective policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and financial controls. Manage standard cost and lead costing at multiple sites. Lead inventory count, controls and root cause analysis. Work alongside the CFO and CEO on business partnering and financial reporting needs. Prepare, share, and analyze month-end close and create necessary month-end financial statements; review with CFO and leadership team. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance, or relevant experience demonstrating a solid foundation in the field. 5+ years of relevant accounting experience and/or minimum 3+ years as an Accounting Manager/Controller, preferably within manufacturing. Ability to create process improvements to drive efficiencies within the accounting team. Ability to lead a small accounting team, assist with training and development. Compensation
Compensation:
$120,000 to $140,000 based on experience + competitive benefits and PTO Location
Southern Maine (Portland area).
