Onbe, a fast-growing FinTech, stands for “on behalf.” We work on behalf of our clients as their comprehensive payments partner, transforming payments into opportunities for innovation and insight. This role is a hybrid Scrum Master position based out of Plano, TX (2 days onsite per week). Summary
As a Scrum Master, you will enable Product and Technology teams to deliver against complex initiatives, shape product development practices, nurture strong communities, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will drive Agile best practices, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and remove obstacles for developers. The Scrum Master may also take on product-level project management support for the Product Manager. Responsibilities
Facilitate and lead scrum ceremonies, including Stand-ups, Sprint & Release planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Demos. Coach team members and the organization on Enterprise Agile frameworks, methodologies, best practices, and values. Partner with Product Managers, Tech Leads, stakeholders, and other players through Sprint Zero discovery and initial Product Backlog development to set teams up for success. Establish scope and priorities, manage risks/issues/dependencies, implement solutions, and support change management activities. Identify, resolve, and remove blockers that impede delivery. Track and report key metrics (e.g., team velocity, sprint burndown, budget spend) to the Product Manager, stakeholders, and others. Participate in process improvement, root cause analysis, and brainstorming workshops. Promote a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and improvement to drive results. Support continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management projects, and performance measures for basic business processes. Serve up to three teams depending on product complexity. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5-8+ years of experience in Scrum Master or similar roles (e.g., Business Analyst, Project Management). CSP and/or CSM strongly preferred. Advanced Jira & Confluence experience; knowledge of agile practices (DAD, SAFe, Kanban and/or Lean). Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and large/complex projects. Proven competency in delivering projects on time and on budget. Change agent capable of coaching agile practices across functions, geographies, and levels of the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and positively influence others. The base salary range is $95,850 to $115,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus.
