Phillips 66 Refining Engineering University New Hire , you will participate in training and development programs that provide a comprehensive roadmap for early career engineers at Phillips 66. Our focus is to help you gain a deeper understanding of refining processes and the energy industry in an environment that values collaboration and your contributions. Introduction to company practices, procedures, technical tools, technical training classes, participation in technical networks, and on-the-job training. Learning from internal and external experts and collaborating with experienced engineers within your business. Potential areas of contribution include: business or economic analysis, control systems, environmental, equipment reliability, maintenance, and operations. Job locations may include Linden, NJ; Houston, TX; Lake Charles, LA; Roxana, IL; Ferndale, WA; Billings, MT; Rodeo, CA; Borger, TX; Ponca City, OK; Sweeny, TX. Required qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job posting. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science/Corrosion, Metallurgical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent field. Graduation date between December 2025 and Spring/Summer 2026. Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to maintain face-to-face interaction so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (e.g., being free of facial hair or clean-shaven). Preferred qualifications: A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Previous internship with Phillips 66. Previous internship or co-op experience in a related industry. It includes crude distillation, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization, and delayed coking units, along with a specialty coker and calciner. The refinery processes a variety of crude oils and supplies transportation fuels, off-road diesel, home heating oil, and other products distributed throughout the southeastern and eastern U.S. and exported internationally.
