We are seeking a skilled and reliable Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining AV equipment for various events and functions in environments such as corporate offices, educational institutions, and event venues. This role demands technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong focus on customer service.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and dismantle audio and visual equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, mixers, lighting systems, and soundboards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during live events to ensure seamless delivery. Provide technical support to clients, presenters, and performers before and during events. Maintain AV equipment through regular cleaning, repairs, and inventory tracking. Collaborate with clients and event coordinators to understand AV needs and deliver customized solutions. Ensure all systems and setups meet safety and quality standards. Stay up to date with evolving AV technologies and tools.
Skills And Qualifications
Technical proficiency in handling a range of AV systems and tools. Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work well under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams. High attention to detail to ensure accurate and secure equipment setup. Flexible schedule with a willingness to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
Education And Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Specialized training or certifications in AV technology (e.g., CTS, Dante) is a plus.
