Summary:

Under the direction of the Chief Engineer, responsible for the preparation, operation, and maintenance of vessel machinery and systems throughout the voyage. Essential Functions:

Attend to mechanical functions aboard the vessel. Operate machinery such as main engines, auxiliaries, and winches. Monitor, maintain, and repair equipment and vessel machinery. Responsibilities:

Manage fuel, lube, and other essential fluids. Maintain fuel and ballast conditions for trim and stability. Assist in maintaining safe and efficient operations under the Chief Engineer's guidance. Perform engine room maintenance, painting, and cleaning. Assist on deck as directed by the Master. Certification Requirements:

Assistant Engineer – Oceans, Any HP, Limited – 1600 GRT/3000 ITC License. STCW Endorsements: Officer In Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW), Able Seafarer Engine, Rating forming part of an Engineering Watch (RFPEW), Proficiency in survival craft (PSC), Medical First-Aid Provider, Advanced Firefighting, Basic Training, Vessel Security Duties/Security Awareness. Valid USCG 719k Med Cert (STCW), TWIC Card, Driver License, Passport (must be able to travel internationally). Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience as Assistant Engineer aboard ocean-going vessels or relevant offshore vessels; maritime graduate with 1 year service as Engineer. Familiarity with deck machinery, PLC systems, and maintenance software. Reporting & Supervision:

Reports to the Chief Engineer and/or Master. May oversee other engineering personnel. Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive day rate, paid travel, paid training, rotation up to 30 days. Additional Details:

Physical requirements include working in various environmental conditions, climbing ladders, and meeting physical standards. Must work in a drug-free environment and be free of substances that impair judgment. Locations:
