Overview

The Rapid & Rural Logistics (R2L) team is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join the Automation Team. The R2L team covers a portfolio of high-growth businesses with unique fulfillment and operational capabilities such as Sub Same Day (SSD), Rural Super Rural (RSR), and Amazon Today. R2L exists to meet the goal of quick, accurate delivery and remains flexible to evolving customer demands. As a BI Engineer, your focus will be on process automation, operational insight, and other analytical support to stakeholders for the Sub-Same Day (SSD), Rural Super Rural (RSR), and Amazon Today (AT) Delivery business. The Automation team partners closely with Delivery and the operations teams to automate Program Manager manual processes. Responsibilities

Understand business problem requirements Identify opportunities for automation Implement solutions to enhance operations Day-to-day and Projects

Take detailed requirements from stakeholders to understand current manual processes and pain points Think creatively to identify technology-driven solutions to solve problems Design and implement optimal automation solutions to address stakeholder needs Respond to ad-hoc requests and provide support as needed Thoroughly document all processes, solutions, and learnings to ensure knowledge capture and sharing In This Role, You Will

Draw upon advanced analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient with data visualization tools like QuickSight and Tableau Engage in data modeling, ETL, SQL, and scripting to support automation and analytics About The Team

The Rapid and Rural Logistics team manages high-growth specialty fulfillment operations focused on fast, accurate delivery of unique products. The ideal candidate balances technical expertise in ETL, visualization, and scripting with strong stakeholder skills. You will work with teams to understand needs and design automated solutions driving operational improvements. Speed, flexibility, and autonomous decision-making are crucial. Bonus qualifications include Python proficiency for data tasks and AWS experience for implementing robust, scalable solutions. Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines Experience in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab Experience using SQL to pull data and scripting (Python) to process data for modeling Preferred Qualifications
