Overview

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on protecting national security. This role is to support the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) development team in Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities

Manage cloud-based information systems, ensuring availability, performance, scalability, and security Harden information systems against NIST, DoD, and IC security requirements, including NIST 800-53 and 800-171, and DISA STIGs/SRGs Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively Collaborate with development teams to deploy applications and ensure they meet scalability, reliability, and security requirements Manage and automate routine administrative tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy Stay up-to-date with and implement the latest industry technologies, trends, and best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of new and existing systems and applications Lead or participate in meetings with system stakeholders to discuss statuses of efforts Qualifications

Required: Security Clearance: Active U.S. government Top Secret/SCI clearance (U.S. citizen) Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field DoD 8570-compliant IAT Level II certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+) Experience with cloud service providers (CSPs) such as AWS or Azure Git/GitLab experience Programming/scripting experience (e.g. Bash, Python, .NET or Java) Apache open-source products (e.g. NiFi, Kafka, Zookeeper) Security+ certification Experience with Virtual Machines and Type 1 hypervisors (e.g. KVM, ESXi) Experience with Linux (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux) Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Puppet, and Ansible Experience implementing DISA STIGs and SRGs Excellent oral and written communication skills Desired: Linux System Administrator DevSecOps Risk Management Framework implementation Software development experience (C++, Java, C) Compensation

Base pay range:

$94,800.00/yr - $142,100.00/yr Basic Compensation:

$94,800 - $142,100 (Colorado Springs Area Only). The offered rate will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and internal parity. Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may include sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. Work Environment
