About The Team AWS Intelligence team builds the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world. We need engineers focused on operational excellence, troubleshooting complex system operations, and operating the world’s largest cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities On a typical day you will dive deep to find the root cause of a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending in the wrong direction, or discuss radical new approaches to automate operational processes. You will execute a defined set of tasks on schedule, identify ineffective processes, and mitigate operational concerns. This is a shift work position that may require nights or weekends.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, or A+, CND, Network+, or Security+
2+ years of systems administration (Linux or Windows)
2+ years of networking (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP)
Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems or technical support
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with internet fundamentals and cloud computing concepts
Knowledge of databases, storage, and big data concepts
Experience with AWS core services, command console, or CLI
Experience with virtualization (VMware, Xen, hypervisor)
Experience with security concepts and best practices
Experience with IPsec, VPN, load balancing, Iperf, MTR, routing protocols, SSH, network monitoring, and troubleshooting tools
