Clinician-Investigator – Diabetes, Obesity, and Clinical Trials

The Holman Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at NYU Langone Health invites applications for a Clinician-Investigator with demonstrated expertise in clinical trials focused on diabetes and obesity. This full-time faculty position is based in Manhattan and offers the opportunity to lead and expand NYU’s rapidly growing portfolio of clinical trials in diabetes, obesity, and related metabolic diseases. Key Responsibilities Design, lead, and implement clinical trials focused on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, obesity, and metabolic disease. Serve as Principal Investigator on at least one active investigator-initiated or industry-sponsored study annually. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including research coordinators, program managers, referring clinicians, research nurses, and data analysts. Develop partnerships with institutional leadership, referring providers, and external sponsors to drive trial recruitment and visibility. Mentor fellows and junior faculty in clinical trial methodology, study design, and regulatory compliance. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present results at national and international conferences. Salary Range: $220,000-$250,000 Qualifications MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent with board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism. Demonstrated experience leading or managing investigator-initiated or industry-sponsored clinical trials in diabetes and/or obesity. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams within an academic health system. Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
