Corporate Tax Manager (Provisions) New York, NY | Hybrid (minimum 2 days in office) About the Firm Our client is a mid-size public accounting firm with a strong presence in the New York market. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, deep technical expertise, and commitment to helping clients navigate complex tax and accounting matters. They are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager with a strong background in income tax provisions to join their growing team. Responsibilities Manage the preparation and review of ASC 740 income tax provisions, including quarterly and annual reporting. Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns. Research and analyze complex tax issues to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities. Review client workpapers, schedules, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collaborate closely with audit teams on provision-related matters. Serve as the main point of contact for clients on corporate tax provision engagements. Assist with tax planning and strategy for corporate clients, including identifying risks and opportunities. Supervise, mentor, and develop staff, providing technical guidance and review. Stay current with tax law changes and accounting pronouncements impacting corporate provisions. Qualifications CPA required . Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation a plus. 5–8 years of corporate tax experience in public accounting or a mix of public and in-house. Strong expertise in ASC 740 income tax provisions (compliance and review). Solid technical knowledge of federal and state corporate tax regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients. Proven leadership experience, including supervising and mentoring staff. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. What’s Offered Competitive compensation and performance-based bonus.
