Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Proposal Analyst to join our team in Palmdale, CA or Rancho Bernardo, CA. The position is based in local offices and cannot be supported by hybrid or telecommute schedules.

Responsibilities

Develops, plans and schedules proposals Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team Works in a team environment to develop proposals in response to customer requests Prepare Proposals in compliance with applicable government regulations and internal policies Analyze estimates for risk and executability Present proposal data and recommendations to management Prepare certified cost and pricing data packages Support proposal audits and negotiations with customers Develop labor rates and cost estimating relationships

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting OR a Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience Three years of experience in estimating, pricing, finance, contracts, business and/or business operations Ability to prioritize effectively and complete work timely in a deadline-driven environment Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (background investigation within last 5 years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to employment

Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions when making base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off.
