Overview
Anistar Technologies is seeking an Access Control Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.
Position supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security equipment including intrusion detection, access control, and closed circuit television devices.
Responsibilities
Perform service and installation of security management solutions including access control, intrusion alarm, CCTV systems, and other related security systems. Install, configure, and test equipment and devices to complete the project.
Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, re-configure, and test equipment; perform repairs as necessary.
Perform upgrades and additions to systems to increase functionality and usability.
Enter computer programming as required to add CCTV cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarm systems.
Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects/work orders efficiently.
Read and interpret drawings and prints to install correct equipment in the correct locations.
Terminate equipment and field devices; verify operation from the field to reporting systems.
Lead team and delegate tasks as needed; demonstrate proper installation techniques.
Be willing to perform required tasks on any given day to complete the job.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience
Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
Good communication skills; ability to think on feet in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
Experience with IP-based systems.
Working knowledge of Software House, Open Options, and Lenel is a plus.
