Responsibilities: This position requires reporting to the project site 100% of the time. We are expanding our finance team to support large-scale, multi-year construction projects. The successful candidate will perform the following activities: Project Cost Control:

Collaborate with the project management team to develop accurate budgets and manpower forecasts for multi-year construction projects. Monitor and control indirect costs through weekly budget-to-actual analyses, identifying and addressing root causes of variances. Establish and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts to ensure the project remains cash-positive; adjust forecasts as necessary. Ensure timely and accurate submission of complex, multi-million dollar cost-plus billing on a monthly basis.

Project Procurement Planning:

Lead procurement planning efforts post-award, ensuring compliance and logistics are incorporated. Assist in procuring the project according to plan before 20% completion. Analyze monthly actual vs. planned procurement, providing justification for adjustments.

Work Breakdown Structure:

Assist in establishing and maintaining the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Controls:

Support monthly financial reporting by providing cost analysis and explaining variances.

Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of general accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to apply accounting principles to problem-solving. Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 2-4 years of experience. Desired Qualities: Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects. Independent worker who asks questions as needed. Eager to learn and grow within the company. Location/Travel: South Hill, VA Occasional travel to HQ at Tysons, VA, and other project sites.
