OxEon is seeking a Senior Accountant with solid experience in QuickBooks and a strong foundation in fundamental accounting concepts. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate payables and receivables, assist in maintaining financial records, prepare financial statements and other reports, and ensure our books are accurate and compliant with relevant accounting standards including GAAP and government contracts. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Responsibilities
Own the accounts payable process from PO to payment and provide oversight and support to the payables team
Support the accounts receivable process by ensuring accurate information is used to generate customer invoices
Support and perform reconciliations, including banking, credit card, and balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Preparing and posting general ledger entries, accruals, and month-end closing activities across all accounting and finance functions
Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes and reporting
Support audits, including DCAA audits, compliance, and tax preparation with proper documentation and record-keeping
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights or other accounting and finance related support when needed
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping, particularly with QuickBooks or other ERP systems
Strong understanding of GAAP
Experience and familiarity with Government Contract accounting
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software is a plus
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge or experience with DCAA requirements
Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Occasionally lift 20 pounds, sit for long periods of time
