Overview Location: Eastover, SC Salary: $30.48 – $35.56 per hour Position Type: Full‑time, Permanent, Title 32 Excepted Service

Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul moderately complex electronics equipment used in Army aviation support facilities and aviation classification and repair activity depots. Work includes fabricating, overhauling, modifying, installing, diagnosing, and maintaining ground, airborne, and marine electronic equipment such as radio, radar, sonar, cryptographic, satellite, microwave, micro‑computer and peripheral systems, laser, infrared, industrial x‑ray, navigation aids, TV receivers, surveillance devices, and similar equipment. Use manual and automated test equipment and personal computers for programming, realigning, downloading information, and detecting equipment deficiencies.

Conditions of Employment

National Guard membership is required. Selectees must wear the military uniform.

Males born after 31 December 1959 must register for Selective Service.

Security clearance required; this position requires a Secret clearance.

Background investigation and probationary period may apply.

Valid state driver’s license required for any motor vehicle duties.

Qualifications Area of Consideration:

This position is open to Area 1 only – current employees of the South Carolina Army National Guard (Tenure 1 and 2). Temporary or indefinite employees are not eligible for Area 1.

General Experience Requirements:

Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or electronic theory, testing procedures, hand tool use, and schematic reading.

Specialized Experience Requirements:

Experience diagnosing electronic problems and determining repairs, mechanical repair using precision measuring equipment, using complex test equipment, and interpreting technical manuals and specifications.
