Position Overview A Scenic Designer will be responsible for the development of theatrical sets, stages, and scenic deliverables that fulfill strategic business objectives as outlined by existing and potential clients. This includes assisting with the conceptual development, articulating integrated physical and digital scenic design solutions, and ensuring successful execution of creative deliverables. This position will collaborate and partner with other Scenic Designers, Creative Directors and report to the Design Director. Key Job Responsibilities Creative Development

Conceptualize high-quality, medium-complexity scenic, theatrical, and environmental solutions designed to solve problems for clients and add value to their live production experiences and events. Partner with senior scenic designers and creative leads to assist in the conceptual development of ideas and translate into creative output. Deliver integrated theatrical concepts as directed. Participate in internal creative presentations to internal stakeholders, effectively representing concepts and solutions to influence sell-through to clients. Uphold the highest creative standards, always striving to ensure the highest quality. Working understanding of theatrical techniques, content, lighting, and fabrication methods. Ability to visualize concepts using various tools and methods such as 3D modeling/rendering, developing control drawings, photo compositing, mood boards, story boards, and written treatments. Mid-level ability with tools such as Vectorworks, Enscape, Envision, Vray, and Adobe Creative Cloud is required. Industry Knowledge

Share examples of design excellence with the Creative department. Assist in providing consultation as a design expert for all Encore deliverables. Maintain close understanding of the industry, watching existing trends and forecasting design direction to keep content design current and innovative. Learn and grow technical understanding and abilities as new methods are created and new software launches. Project Management

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, supporting, and collaborating with a cross-discipline team of creatives, including creative producers, creative directors, show producers, graphic artists, motion designers, visual designers, presentation designers, copywriters, creative technologists, and social strategists. Adhere to standard operating procedures for artwork deliverables, content organization and scope of work development. Organize and maintain workstation to ensure efficient operation; organize and back up files as appropriate. Communicate to various internal parties regarding progress of projects. Take responsibility for on-time, on-budget delivery of all projects. Job Qualifications

BFA/BS degree in theatre scenic design, environmental design, architecture, graphic design or related field. 3+ years of design and creative experience with working knowledge of creative and strategic disciplines. A portfolio demonstrating integrated and experiential design across a range of different mediums. Hands-on knowledge of theatrical design, corporate event design, branding, trade show, or human-centered design disciplines Demonstrated end-to-end ability to take designs from concept to execution Experienced working within a larger creative team and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Working proficiency in Vectorworks, Sketchup, Revit, or Rhino. Practical skills with Enscape, Envision, Vray, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and PowerPoint or similar programs. Collaborates The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. The salary pay range is $56,009.00 - $82,000.00.
