Salary and Location

Minimum Salary: 55,000.00

Maximum Salary: 65,000.00

Pay Basis: Yearly

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Location: Stassney HQ - Main, 6230 East Stassney Lane, Austin 78744

Travel: Yes, up to 5%

Shift: Day, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Location Flexibility: Onsite

Responsibilities Performs informational and communications work involving the collection of information to develop, create, and produce content and materials for release to various communications media on behalf of the Information Technology Division. Develops and disseminates internal and external division communications. Reports to the Business Engagement and Communications Branch Manager. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

Drives efforts to reach out to appropriate stakeholders to help define and clarify business requirements, operational needs, informational needs, etc.

Develops and implements customer engagement programs/activities to increase customer satisfaction based on analysis of customer data from surveys, metrics, focus groups, one-on-one interviews, etc.

Develops robust communications plans to support informational needs of end users.

Provides assistance on various customer-facing issues as requested.

Provides guidance/direction/support as needed for IT initiatives and outreach activities such as IT University training and staff onboarding.

Serves as IT backup for Change Advisory Board (CAB) communications, ensuring CAB process communications are properly followed and approved through ITD leadership.

Develops solutions to organizational issues, creates and drives change management strategies, and/or conducts training for implementation.

Oversees stakeholder activities and programs that lead to robust end-user adoption of IT systems and high customer satisfaction.

Serves as an advisor for change management and communications activities associated with IT.

Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business or related discipline. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience No experience required. (Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent).

Licenses and Certifications Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Close visual acuity; data/figures; computer screen

Light work: ability to lift up to 20 lbs; frequently 10 lbs

Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers

Sedentary work: occasional lifting of files/small tools

Standing for prolonged periods

To be selected for and continue employment in this position, the selected incumbent must maintain the security or integrity of the agency’s critical infrastructure and will be subject to regular assessments of criminal history and/or reviewed for connections to foreign adversaries.
