guide our work. Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our team. The Recreation Therapist provides goal-oriented treatment, leisure education, and general recreational services designed to meet the needs, competencies, capabilities and interests of patients from neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups. Full Time or 0.8 FTE, 64 hours every pay period. Day shift, no weekends or holidays. Responsibilities
Provide goal-oriented therapy and recreational services aligned with patient needs across age groups; deliver leisure education and activities; support clinical teams in rehabilitation and inpatient settings as applicable. Qualifications
Knowledge of therapy standards and practices acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy. At least one year of experience in recreational therapy is beneficial. Experience in a clinical setting with inpatient and rehab patients; training in transfer skills is beneficial. Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. CPR training must be maintained through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. Acceptable CPR programs include Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. Possesses a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License. Certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) preferred. Employee Benefits
