The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA, is seeking a full-time, board-certified or eligible Chief of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service. Located on the Red River in northwest Louisiana, Shreveport offers a unique blend of Cajun and Lone Star cultures, situated near the Texas border. Ideal candidates are highly motivated, team-oriented, and dedicated to the health and well-being of Veterans. The Medical Center is committed to providing top-quality care to America's Veterans. Highlights of the Position
Competitive salary: $350,000 - $400,000 Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Responsibilities include strategic planning, staff supervision, and coordination of physical rehabilitation activities and policies. Advisory role to the Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff on pain management, cognitive rehabilitation, and functional improvement. Conduct examinations, assessments, and develop comprehensive rehabilitation programs. Serve as a subject matter expert for traumatic brain injury, spinal cord, and neurologic/musculoskeletal care. Review and improve rehabilitation procedures and operational methods. Communicate effectively with staff, patients, families, and stakeholders. Must be a U.S. Citizen with a full, unrestricted license from any U.S. state. Preferred: Board Certified in PMRS. Benefits
