Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

40% – Receives and processes member financial transactions.

30% – Cross-sells various deposit, loan and convenience services to each member.

15% – Uses problem solving skills to research member account questions and concerns.

10% – Performs other daily, weekly and monthly routine tasks.

5% – Performs other duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements

Welcomes members and guests by name, provides routine information concerning services and directs members to the appropriate department for specific information and service.

Completes member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan and VISA payments, check cashing, wire transfers, coin machine transactions, cash advances, non-member and shared branching transactions, opening IRAs, ordering checks and direct deposits. Sells VISA gift cards, foreign checks and cashier’s checks; processes debit and credit card disputes.

Fulfills the stated financial needs of members and uncovers unstated needs through conversation. Cross-sells deposit, loan and convenience services in person, mail and telephone.

Maintains cash drawer limits, verifies and balances, assists in verifying cash shipments and orders, services and fills TCRs, audits gift cards, balances vault book and services coin machine.

Resolves member questions, researches account inquiries, troubleshoots and replies to internal inquiries timely and accurately.

Abides by policies, procedures and guidelines: security, BSA, identity theft, cash over/short, check cashing holds, confidentiality, dual control, etc.

Performs miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input, answering phones before third ring, etc.

Maintains attendance and timeliness record.

Participates in training and development activities to maintain credit union standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience – One to three years of customer service, cash handling, sales or banking experience.

Education – High school diploma or GED required.

Interpersonal skills – Strong communication with members.

Basic computer and math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing).

Work Environment

Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

State of Pennsylvania residency required.
