Classification Title: Doctoral degree in biomedical informatics, computer science, biostatistics/statistics, or a related discipline. Job Description: The successful candidate will be expected to plan, supervise, and lead research in real-world data analytics and related areas within HOBI. They will provide technical expertise in study design, data collection and processing, pipeline development, data analysis, result interpretation, manuscript preparation, and grant proposal development. Collaborative research with other faculty in HOBI and across UF Health research units (e.g., the UF Health Cancer Center) is strongly encouraged. This position also offers opportunities to supervise postdoctoral fellows or graduate research assistants, lead research projects or team initiatives, and develop independent grant applications. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience Required Qualifications: Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in biomedical informatics, computer science, biostatistics/statistics, or a related discipline. Candidates are expected to have experience in machine learning and NLP/LLMs, with demonstrated ability to apply these techniques in the biomedical or health informatics domain. Strong algorithm development and programming skills are required, along with excellent teamwork and communication skills. Preferred: Candidates are expected to have experience in machine learning and NLP/LLMs, with demonstrated ability to apply these techniques in the biomedical or health informatics domain.
