Overview
Assistant Professor in the Division of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science, Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics, University of Florida College of Medicine. This is a tenure-track position. Responsibilities
Demonstrate expertise in deep learning, causal AI, and large language models (LLMs), with a record of applying these methods to disease diagnosis and treatment in areas such as cancer, Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, behavioral health and developmental disabilities (including depression and autism), and type 2 diabetes. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in multimodal learning, graph neural networks, and interpretable AI. The field also welcomes candidates with interests in emerging areas such as multi-agent learning and the development of foundation models for electronic health records (EHRs). Strong skills in algorithm development and programming; ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate across domains. Qualifications
A Ph.D. in biomedical informatics or a related discipline such as computer science or information science. A demonstrated track record of research and scholarly contributions in biomedical informatics. A clear commitment to pursuing a long-term academic career in the field. Salary
