Overview
Virginia Military Institute Athletics, an NCAA Division I member and member of the Southern Conference, is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach. Responsibilities
Assist in organizing and directing all phases of the Wrestling Program. Recruit and evaluate potential student-athletes. Coordinate team travel arrangements. Design and implement training programs focused on athlete development, injury prevention, and performance enhancement. Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic department, and VMI administration to support student-athlete academic progress and personal development. Perform administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Ensure compliance with VMI, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Minimum Qualifications
Some (generally two(2)+ years) of college coaching experience. Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree as well as coaching experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Demonstrated success in training, mentoring, and developing student-athletes; proven track record in recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with staff and administrators. Additional Considerations
