Kitchen Leadership – Sous Chef
Prominent Downtown Detroit Hotel/Entertainment Venue seeks a culinary leader to advance culinary excellence and support daily operations across multiple restaurants and extensive catering & event facilities.
Responsibilities
Lead kitchen operations for multi-concept venues, ensuring outstanding culinary quality and timely service.
Collaborate with culinary team to develop innovative menus, menu items, and seasonal specials.
Oversee food preparation, quality control, safety, and sanitation standards.
Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and cost control to support profitability.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
Communicate expectations for consistency, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Preferably hold a Culinary Degree or ACF Apprenticeship.
Proven experience in a high-volume, multi-concept hospitality environment.
Strong background in pastry preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Flexible schedule, 5 days/week, 45 hours/week.
