EHS Health and Ergonomic Specialist
Perm Position
Ellabell, GA (onsite)
This role supports the development and implementation of employee health, workers' compensation, and ergonomic programs in compliance with OSHA regulations. The position will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote health and wellness, manage injury claims, and reduce workplace risk.
Responsibilities
Assist in implementing health programs and OSHA-compliant policies.
Support injured employees through the workers' compensation claim process.
Coordinate with claim adjusters to assess and manage claims.
Assist supervisors in arranging light/restricted duty for injured workers.
Serve as liaison between management, adjusters, legal, and employees.
Monitor claims status and provide regular reports to leadership.
Drive timely closure of workers' compensation claims.
Collaborate with EHS team to manage workplace health risks.
Develop vendor relationships for health services.
Monitor health data to identify trends and risks.
Deliver training on health and safety awareness.
Manage PPE selection, procurement, and related processes.
Support audits, inspections, and investigations.
Ergonomics
Develop and manage ergonomic and MSD prevention programs.
Conduct workplace ergonomic assessments and rate job posts.
Investigate ergonomic contributors to incidents and recommend improvements.
Analyze injury data to identify trends and propose solutions.
Provide input on ergonomics training programs.
Coordinate with onsite medical for injury-related work adjustments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety or related field.
3+ years’ experience in corporate/industrial health programs (OSHA-compliant).
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
Teamwork, planning, problem-solving, communication.
Strategic mindset, adaptability, and openness to change.
Domestic and international travel required.
Preferred
Experience in automotive industry.
Knowledge of ISO45001 procedures and EHS systems.
Experience in EHS management for new plant startups.
