Responsibilities

Process initial I‑20 forms for newly admitted international students and ensure accuracy in immigration documents filed with USCIS.

Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) and International Student Adviser (ISA) for the international student population.

Liaise with USCIS, ICE, CBP, and UF departments to maintain compliance with SEVIS reporting requirements.

Advise UF faculty, staff, and departments to resolve immigration and employment eligibility issues for international students.

Organize and present workshops on I‑20 processing, immigration rules, and regulations for UF departments and students.

Assist Data Management Coordinator in monitoring alert lists and providing data for surveys and reports.

Liaise with campus offices to smooth procedures for processing newly admitted international students and monitor UF compliance with federal regulations.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Eligibility to serve as a Designated School Official.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree.

FERPA training.

Experience

Experience with immigration regulations.

Experience with UF rules and regulations.

Knowledge

F‑1 Visa status regulations governed by SEVP, ICE, DHS; SEVIS.

Skills
