The candidate for this position is expected to teach a wide range of courses in both undergraduate and graduate curricula; will teach 12 credit hours of undergraduate or, 9 credit hours of graduate and undergraduate-level courses per semester; ability to teach online courses is preferred; areas of teaching responsibility include, but not limited to, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Courts, Corrections, and Research Methods; ability to teach advanced research methods is preferred; advising undergraduate and graduate students; serve on faculty governance and University committees; participate in program development and assessment; provide service to the Department, University, and community.
Preference will be given to candidates who are able to attract external funding and engage in scholarly activities. Qualifications Required: A Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related field; A.B.D. candidates may be considered, if all requirements for the Ph.D. will be completed within one year following assumption of duty. A J.D. only will not meet the minimum educational requirements for this position.
