Assistant Professor of Criminology & Criminal Justice – Plymouth State University. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position to commence in August 2025, at the rank of Assistant Professor. Operating Title: Assistant Professor of Criminology & Criminal Justice. Campus Location: Plymouth. Department: PSU J&S Justice & Security. Responsibilities

Teach 12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate courses in Criminology/Criminal Justice. Establish and maintain a research agenda. Advise students. Contribute to discipline and university service. Qualifications

PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline. ABD will be considered. Demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching with evidence from colleagues and students. Skills in academic advising and mentoring students. Evidence of an active research agenda. Innovative, student-driven, and possessing excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications

Ability to teach multiple core courses in the criminology and criminal justice programs. Area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Corrections. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and participate in collaborative programs across disciplines. Experience integrating technology into the classroom to enhance student learning.
