We are hiring for pastry cooks. We are looking for a passionate and creative pastry cooks (levels 2-4) to join our award winning team!
We have positions open in our Michelin-starred restaurant and resort pastry operations, where you’ll craft exquisite desserts, petits fours, ice creams, sorbets, chocolates, and elegant decorations using the finest seasonal ingredients.
About the role: Prepare all pastries including but not limited to breakfast, lunch, dinner, baked items, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, chocolates, show pieces, food items per guest orders in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. Complies with any additional requests that may arise pertaining to pastry cook duties.
What you will do:
Prepare and execute the daily mise en place for the pastry program, adhering to the Pastry Chef’s instructions and the Hotel's high standards.
Create and present guest desserts with precision and artistry, ensuring each dish delivers a “wow” moment and leaves a lasting impression.
Collaborate with the pastry and kitchen teams, maintaining a professional and supportive work environment.
Maintain organization and cleanliness in the kitchens, including restocking supplies and managing inventory.
Adapt and assist with additional tasks as needed to support the restaurant’s operations and guest satisfaction.
The ability to ensure superior production of all sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, breads, chocolates, etc. for all outlets as well as banquets and amenities.
Ability to document new recipes, as well as comply with all steps of standardized recipes.
The ability to communicate regularly with the Pastry Chef, and contribute to menu development and recipe creation for a variety of outlets.
Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables; assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per policies.
Assist in prep work as required for the next shift
What you bring:
High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education preferred
Minimum two years culinary or related work experience.
Culinary knowledge expected for this position.
Working knowledge is generally attained on the job. High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education preferred.
Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill.
Proficient knife skills and ability to multi-task.
This position is not eligible for work sponsorship/visa. Candidates must possess valid US work authorization.

Hourly Range: $23.37 - $27.59
