Bilingual Afterschool Lead Sports Coach

Elevo Learning Program dates: Start Date 10/01/2025 – End Date 06/05/2026. Schedule includes afterschool hours on weekdays with an adjustable Friday shift. Expected hourly rate:
$22 . Responsibilities
Lead structured skill-building sessions across multiple sports (Kickball, Soccer, Basketball, and others). Run organized scrimmages to prepare athletes for competition. Communicate effectively in English and Spanish with students, families, and school staff. Coach and prepare teams for district-wide competitions; foster a positive, motivating, and inclusive environment emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and fellow coaches. Support students’ behavioral management needs and ensure a safe, inclusive environment. Lead outdoor lessons designed to increase excitement about learning. Serve as a positive role model to build students’ self-esteem and emotional wellness. About You (Qualifications)
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). Previous competitive sports experience or demonstrated coaching background (college, high school varsity, club, or professional). Ability to teach drills, strategies, and game play, not just supervise. Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate athletes of all skill levels. Ability to lead, mentor, and support fellow coaches to ensure program success. Approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids and teammates. Confident leader and positive role model with the ability to connect with students. Ability to adjust activities based on student needs and ensure activities run smoothly within timeframes. Additional Requirements
Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening. Minimum 1 year of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or similar child-focused roles strongly preferred. Prior coaching or leadership experience in sports. Must have reliable transportation. Physical Requirements
Constant movement; ability to move between locations frequently. Sitting or standing for long periods; occasional running and other strenuous activity. Ability to move safely on irregular or uneven terrain. About Elevo
