Overview

SY 25-26 Middle School Mathematics Teacher at Georgia Cyber Academy. This role is delivered in an online environment and requires a state-certified educator responsible for delivering middle school mathematics content with a data-driven, student-centered instructional model and partnerships with school and community/family groups. Responsibilities

Implements instructional strategies that stimulate learning and increase student engagement. Creates instructional resources to meet the varying needs of students. Takes ownership of students’ academic progress and attendance, communicates high expectations, and shows active interest in student achievement. Prepares students for high-stakes standardized tests. Analyzes student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment as needed. Participates in data analysis meetings to monitor student growth. Collaborates with local/regional/national teams and instructional coaches regarding instruction, resources, interventions and data-driven decision making. Open and available to be coached on a regular basis with administrators and instructional coaches. Adapts course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using asynchronous and synchronous tools. Submits grades and required student work, ensuring academic honesty and integrity; maintains grade book. Builds positive relationships with parents and students, communicates regularly with students, learning coaches/parents, and colleagues. Contributes to a positive learning environment and supports enrollment and retention efforts as directed. Participates in committees as required and supports school-wide goals. Student success will be measured by valid assessment data, parent and student satisfaction, and institutional growth. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree Six (6) months of student teaching experience Meet requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) Equivalent combination of education and experience Appropriate state teaching certification in MGB Math Pedagogical knowledge of content and ability to apply critical thinking Knowledge of state content standards and ability to align with K-12 curriculum Ability to adapt to change to ensure excellent student outcomes Strong organization and time-management skills; ability to work independently Ability to travel as required (on average once per month, ~10%) for professional development, testing, or as required by the school Access to reliable high-speed internet Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and willingness to learn new technologies Ability to pass required background checks Work Environment & Benefits
