Overview

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Construction Management in the Department of Construction Management, with a preferred start date of August 2026. Rank is determined at the time of hire and will be commensurate with credentials. This is a nine-month contracted position for work in the state of Georgia. Location

Marietta, Georgia (campus locations are at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144, and 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060). Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Construction Management, delivering high-quality instruction (in-person and online) in at least two of the following areas: Heavy/Civil (including DOT construction) Construction Survey/Layout Construction Finance Construction Estimating Construction Safety MEP Systems Construction Law Provide service to the Department/College/University and professional community. Engage in significant research, scholarship, and/or creative activities in a discipline-related specialization; develop and sustain a robust research agenda contributing to knowledge and practice in Construction Management or a closely aligned field. Demonstrate enthusiasm for collaboration with colleagues and contribute to a positive academic environment. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines. Required Qualifications

A Doctorate degree, or foreign equivalent, in Construction Management or a closely related discipline, is required at the time of hire. Prior success in obtaining extramural funding. Teaching experience (GTA experience considered). Demonstrated research capability in one or more of the following areas: Construction Innovation using automation/robotics/AI Resilient Infrastructure/Heavy-Civil Sustainable Materials for Construction Construction-related Community Engagement Additional qualifications for an Associate Professor position include an established body of research with external funding and credentials to hire on a tenure track. Preferred Qualifications

Record of engaging undergraduate and graduate students in research Related commercialization success Applied industry-focused research National and/or international student competition coaching experience Ability to integrate research, creative work and/or professional practice into teaching across core and elective courses for undergraduate and graduate programs Experience teaching online or hybrid courses Experience with the international construction marketplace National and/or international awards/recognition for funded research Required Documents to Attach
