Job Summary ATTENTION MILITARY AFFILIATED JOB SEEKERS: This position is open to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard, Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and Caregivers. All positions are onsite unless otherwise stated.

Responsibilities

Have thorough working knowledge of electro‑mechanical and solid‑state electronic relays, including carrier current, audio, RF frequency transfer tripping equipment.

Good knowledge of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, load control, metering, telemetering systems.

Familiarity with high‑speed digital data transmission principles and servicing techniques.

Understand phase and vector relations for current and voltage, and apply this knowledge for phase angle readings.

Calculate single‑phase and three‑phase kW, kVAR, kVA and power factors given system voltage, current and phase‑angle readings.

Read and interpret complicated plans, drawings and specifications.

Diagnose and correct difficulties and faults, prepare written reports and sketches.

Instruct and train lower‑grade personnel in working methods and safe work practices.

Apply manufacturer instructions for testing, adjusting and maintaining equipment.

Analyze and interpret test results, install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, repair and check wiring of relays, instrument transformers, metering and telemetering equipment, load control equipment, SCADA equipment.

Plan and coordinate work with other groups as required.

Determine circuits and equipment to be cleared for safe work and execute necessary switching operations per a switching order.

Work on energized equipment without causing service interruptions.

Set, test, calibrate, adjust and repair all types of protective relays.

Perform tests on all primary system reclosers.

Conduct system operational tests for protection, control, telemetering and SCADA systems.

Carry out minor capital installation work from sketches or instructions on protective or control circuits.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Technology or Electronics, or an honorable discharge with an Electronics Technician (ET) rate from the military.

Valid US driver’s license in good standing.

Must pass a written screening exam.

Will be required to work overtime and participate in Emergency Restoration Program.

Education

Associate in Electric Technology.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid US driver’s license.

$75,000 - $100,000 per year.
