Responsibilities

Provide safe and knowledgeable intervention in crisis situations under RN supervision to ensure quality care. Identify and intervene in crisis situations using de-escalation and other crisis management techniques per Behavior Management Policy. Assess environments, identify potential crises, and intervene calmly and supportively. Respond to emergencies such as First Aid, Code Blue, Code Red, and Code Triage as trained. Assist with unit secretary and mental health technician duties as directed. Participate in onboarding and orientation of new staff. Teach Handle With Care and de-escalation techniques to staff under supervision of the CIS Coordinator. Qualifications

Required:

High School diploma or GED. At least 3 years of experience providing direct care in a behavioral health setting. Ability to operate Carrier Clinic vehicles safely and transport residents/patients. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient with computer platforms such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite. Ability to safely assist in moving patients/residents weighing up to 200 lbs with assistance. Flexibility to work any shift as needed. Preferred:

Associate's degree in a health-related field. Licenses and Certifications
