Calibration Technician/Metrologist
to join our Quality and Engineering team and play a vital role in ensuring precision, compliance, and equipment performance across our operations. This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate advanced metrology tools, maintain calibration programs, and support audits with expert-level data and documentation. What You’ll Do Perform high-accuracy dimensional inspections using CMMs, optical comparators, micrometers, laser tools, and more. Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards. Develop and manage calibration procedures, uncertainty budgets, and documentation. Maintain a robust calibration database with traceable records and certifications. Troubleshoot and coordinate service for underperforming or noncompliant equipment. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams on GD&T, prints, and inspection plans. Apply SPC methods to monitor data trends and improve inspection processes. Support internal and external audits (ISO, UL DAP, customer reviews). What You’ll Bring Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience. At least 3 years of experience in a metrology, calibration, or quality inspection role. Strong understanding of dimensional metrology, GD&T, calibration principles, and uncertainty analysis. Experience operating and/or programming CMMs (LK, Camio preferred), optical comparators, laser tools, and related equipment. Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and calibration management software. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general documentation tools. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping. Preferred Qualifications ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or similar credentials. Experience supporting UL DAP audits or ISO 17025 accreditation processes. Working knowledge of Micro-Vu Vision Systems or Camio CMM software.
