The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Baker Lab. This NIH-funded position with full benefits is located at the Life Sciences Center, University of Missouri-Columbia.
Job Description The primary objective is to study resolution of salivary gland inflammation and mechanisms of salivary gland fibrosis. The candidate will develop and execute experiments using cell culture and vertebrate animal testing, perform data analysis, manuscript preparation, presentation of results, and collaborate with other members of the research team at MU.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biology, Physiology, Oral Biology or a related discipline.
Expertise in more than one of: confocal microscopy, assay development, protein detection/quantification, and cell signaling studies.
Strong background in molecular biology, bioengineering, animal science and imaging techniques; peer-reviewed publications are required.
