Environmental Health and Safety Technician

Main duties and responsibilities The Environmental Health & Safety Technician works closely with the EHS Manager to coordinate all safety and environmental activities for the Clarion sites and to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The position will assist in the management of the loss prevention program as it pertains to safety and health including worker's compensation. The position is responsible for developing, communicating, and maintaining simple but effective safety and environmental programs, including training programs, which meet regulatory standards. Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates Excellent attendance record Ability to write and communicate Standard Operating Procedures Must have strong computer skills especially Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving Demonstrated history of cooperation and teamwork The ability to use power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools The ability to be on call 24/7 The ability to work at heights exceeding 60ft with the aid of man lifts and/or ladders/platforms The ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted Intermediate to advanced knowledge of fire equipment maintenance and inspections Work closely with all team members, supervisors, and leadership to identify, report and correct existing or potential safety hazards Complete all required safety training as required complying with established deadlines Demonstrate ability to perform core competencies of this role, as outlined by management Comply with all Kronospan policies and procedures Perform all other job related duties as assigned by supervisor or member of leadership What we offer
