Responsible for supervising and managing staff in the Beverage department. Develop, implement, and manage operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives. Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction. Establish product menu and record product inventories. Create and maintain beverage department policies and procedures to control beverage and labor costs while maintaining quality product, presentation and service. Communicate with all other departments as they relate to the Beverage operation to coordinate activities or correct problems. Provide beverage support for special events when necessary. Monitor inventory of all beverage product. Assist in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager. Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals. Ensure compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and report potential issues to Executive Management / GM. Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters. Responsible for staff development and training programs. Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement. Evaluate team members within department and deliver constructive feedback to employees regarding performance. Determine recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs. Determine work procedures and expedite workflow. Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling). Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field from four year college or university; four years Beverage or equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior gaming experience preferred. Minimum of four years supervisory experience required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming License. Must be able to successfully pass TiPS Responsible Gaming course. Salary
