Postdoctoral Scholar - Cryptography Department: Mathematics & Statistics, University of South Florida Libraries

Location: 4202 East Fowler Avenue, Tampa, FL 33620, U.S.

Salary: $52,500/year

Position type: 12‑month full‑time temporary.

Start date: August 7, 2026 (or sooner).

Responsibilities Conduct cutting‑edge research in applied algebra and cryptography. Write and publish research papers. Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and industry partners. Present research at conferences and seminars. Support teaching and mentoring activities as required.

Qualifications Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in mathematics, computer science, or a related field (ABD candidates accepted, but degree must be conferred before start date). Strong record of research productivity and publications in applied algebra, especially in cryptography. Ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
