Position Overview The University of North Georgia invites applications for a ten‑month, full‑time, tenure‑track position as Assistant Professor of Biology. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in biology and animal science, such as introductory biology, vertebrate zoology, mammalogy, and agricultural courses including animal production or food production. The candidate may also teach at other UNG campuses.

Responsibilities

Dedicate 60% of workload to teaching and 40% to service, scholarship, and professional development.

Teach a wide range of undergraduate courses in biology or animal science.

Conduct scholarly work involving undergraduates, advise biology or agriculture students, serve the department, university, and community, and pursue professional development.

Incorporate technology and online teaching methods.

Teaching assignments may extend to other campuses.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or terminal degree in biology, animal science, or a related discipline at the time of hire.

Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to undergraduate education.

Preferred experience at the college level.
