The University of North Georgia Department of Biology invites applicants for a ten-month tenure-track position at the assistant professor level. We are seeking a biologist with expertise in cellular or molecular biology, with a strong preference for candidates whose research is focused on biomedical or closely related fields. The successful candidate will have a record of mentoring students in research or will demonstrate a well-developed plan for initiating a student research program. Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses in general biology plus candidate\'s area(s) of expertise Scholarly work involving undergraduates Advising students Service to the department, university, and community Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work with faculty and students from diverse backgrounds Ability to engage in interdisciplinary research Required Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in biology or a closely related field Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching at the undergraduate level Research experience focused on biomedicine or related fields Teaching experience in cell biology or genetics Required Documents to Attach
