Lab & Research Student Assistant - Dutta 2

The University of Georgia is seeking a Lab & Research Student Assistant. The University is an Equal Opportunity employer. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Caring for plants in the greenhouse, including planting, weeding, fertilizing, and watering (30% of time) Assisting with field research, including collecting plant samples, labeling, flagging, and staking (20% of time) Assisting with basic lab protocols, such as Phytophthora isolation, Xylella isolation, DNA extraction, etc. (30% of time) Assisting with basic lab maintenance and chores, including washing glassware, autoclaving supplies, preparing basic solutions and media, taking away trash, etc. (20% of time) The University System of Georgia is comprised of 26 institutions of higher education and learning, and is guided by the core values of Integrity, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect.
