The

Manager, Cloud Support & Server Management

manages the technical components of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including internal and cloud-based technologies, hardware, software, and virtual systems that support Brother’s goals. The role researches and executes technical development to enable continuous innovation within the infrastructure and ensures system hardware, software, operating systems, and related policies and procedures adhere to organizational specifications. Primary focus areas include management of Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, AWS, SAN storage, VM environments, multi-user servers, disk storage, network systems, virtualization, cloud systems, security, and directory services. The role also monitors security practices, implements improvements, performs regular network maintenance and administration, and mentors team members on best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

Network Management: Manage, maintain, and monitor the Active Directory environment, local and virtual environments, and SAN storage; administer Azure and AWS environments; manage internal server environments and related VMware.

Evaluate and deploy new cloud technologies; research and integrate them into existing warehouse and data center environments; plan for disaster recovery and data protection strategies.

Configure and provision disk storage; manage system files; participate in budget planning and support IT budgeting processes; maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud technologies.

Travel as needed to support operations in various office locations.

Security Monitoring: Ensure antivirus configurations are current; monitor security-related logs; manage server logging and data backups/replication to various media; provision resources in cloud or hosted environments.

Configure federated services for cross-boundary access; manage user accounts and passwords; perform security monitoring to ensure robust processes.

Network Maintenance & Administration: Create system configuration documentation/run books; troubleshoot hardware and software issues; analyze logs; support capacity planning with periodic performance reporting; perform system performance tuning and routine audits; ensure network infrastructure provides configured bandwidth.

Team Mentorship: Mentor team members in network administration activities.

Experience & Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Experience

Minimum 7 years of combined experience in: managing operating systems (Windows Server, Unix/Linux), Cisco network IOS; networking management for a mid-to-large organization; security monitoring and best practices implementation.

Licenses & Certifications

Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent – Preferred.

Software/Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory; virtual machine environments; Cisco routers and switches; local computer networks; data center hardware; WAN and routing protocols; SAN environments; data center operational support equipment.

Other Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Analytical and technical problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage projects within small teams.

Additional Details For This Role This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: The targeted base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $152,000 per year. Salary decisions are based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market data.

Additional Compensation: Eligible for a 15% bonus at 100% of target, with potential for above 100% based on company performance and bonus plans. Bonuses are discretionary and contingent on individual performance and company objectives.
