Tests are available multiple times a week, including Saturdays Take high-quality job simulation tests in a standardized, fair testing environment After completing the entry-level exam and Personal History Questionnaire, all scores are automatically forwarded to the Newark Division of Police. Candidates with passing scores on both the exam and physical abilities test may be placed on the eligibility list. The department will contact candidates on the list for further steps in the selection process. NTN provides a standardized, professional testing environment but does not replace the Newark Division of Police’s responsibility for final decisions. All results are provided to the department, which makes the final determinations. Diligently patrol assigned areas. Recognize and observe suspicious behaviors indicating potential criminal activity. Monitor traffic for violations and issue warnings or citations to reduce accidents and congestion. Respond promptly and safely to dispatched calls and requests for assistance. Complete assigned projects, investigations, and tasks. Perform duties professionally, accurately, and timely. Maintain competence, professionalism, and ability to perform duties as described. Requirements include being at least 21 years old, possessing a valid Ohio driver’s license, passing written and physical agility tests, and residing within or near Licking County. Skills include problem solving, data collection, interpreting technical and legal instructions, and handling multiple variables.
