POSITION:Sales Coordinator JOB SUMMARY The questionis, can you generate sales? Are youdriven to generate sales? Do you know what is important for a successfulsale? The Sales Coordinator position isprimarily responsible for supporting the Sales Manager and the SalesDepartment. The Sales Coordinator willassist in all aspects of in-house sales to include – telemarketing, sellingguest rooms, special guest requests, catering services and banquet facilities,etc. The Sales Coordinator will conductresearch, prepare statistical reports, collect and process sensitive data,resolve client concerns, and provide high-level administrative support. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit business throughdirect sales solicitation; secure new customers; maintain existingcustomers while executing sales plans strategy to maximize profitabilityof the hotel; follow up on leads to gain additional business throughaccount penetration and market saturation Execute action plans, outline planned sales activities forthe week, month, and quarter for assigned market segments; preparestatistical reports and analysis; monitor sales automation system toregularly contact and trace frequency of existing client accounts; Provide general clerical support to Sales & MarketingDepartments – to include filing, responding to emails, typing, faxing,copying, etc.; promote brand awareness internally and externally; assemblematerial and information packages – brochures, promotional items, etc.;serve as point of contact Analyze current/potential market sales and trends; utilizeavailable resources to understand competitors’ strengths and weaknessesand capitalize on the opportunity with targeted market segments; initiateand follow-up on leads for respective market segment/territory through thebrand, management company, and other third-party resources Collaboratively work with other hotel team members to ensuresales efforts are coordinated and complementary; conduct site inspectionswith clients; exhibit key features and benefits of hotel; preparepresentations when needed; work with internal departments regarding clientneeds; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information Achieve sales revenue goals by managing to sell in-houseguests (this may include telephone contacts, greeting tours, insideappointments, converse with guests during the continental breakfast andthe rest of their stay with us);and room night through outside sales calls, telemarketing, hotelsite visits to include banquet facilities and tours, networking events;internet prospecting, etc. Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (createclient account records, client correspondence, sales agreements, generateproposals, contracts, and thank you letters for client accounts for theSales team) Perform other tasks as necessary or required to meet orexceed guest satisfaction PROFESSIONALEXPERIENCE ·

High school graduate or equivalent andtwo years work-related experience (administrative experience preferred) ·

Sales technique experience (preferred) ·

Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Access) and Sales Operating System ·

Typing, data entry, and businessletter composition writing experience INDUSTRYEXPERIENCE ·

Previous experience in the hospitalityindustry (preferred) ·

Experience in hospitality sales (preferred) REQUIRED SKILLS ·

Must be able to travel – up to 20% ·

Must always display professionalism ·

Persuasive interpersonal skills,self-directed, and independent ·
