Position Summary The Group Sales Manager – Midwest Market, is responsible for developing, cultivating, and securing group business opportunities from the Midwest region. This role drives sales performance for both Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and The Lodge & Club, with a focus on the corporate, association, and incentive markets. The ideal candidate is a dynamic sales professional with a proven ability to build lasting client partnerships, exceed revenue targets, and represent our resorts with the highest level of professionalism.
This position is based on property in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, with required travel to client markets, tradeshows, and industry events.
Responsibilities
Proactively identify, solicit, and secure group business from the Midwest region through prospecting, outside sales calls, client events, and industry networking.
Build and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, corporate decision makers, and association leaders to generate repeat and referral business.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs, reflecting the luxury brand standards of Ponte Vedra Beach Resorts.
Collaborate with Conference Services, Catering, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of group programs.
Represent the resorts at industry tradeshows, conferences, and client events, positioning the brand as a premier destination for meetings and incentives.
Track and report sales activities, revenue production, and pipeline progress using Delphi (Salesforce CRM).
Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or Marketing preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum 3–5 years of group sales experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or related hospitality environments.
Strong understanding of the Midwest group market with established industry relationships preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Delphi (Salesforce CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel for client meetings, tradeshows, and networking events.
